I often hear women say they don’t wear pearls because they are from another era, associated with the Roaring Twenties or conservatism. It is of course true, but pearls are inevitably classic and have survived decades of fashion trends and they still are today a luxury commodity.
I personally love pearls and have worn them since I can remember. The best way to wear them in my mind is in long chain necklaces, earrings and rings.
Dower & Hall new Pearlicious collection is a modern take on pearl jewellery, combining classic white, dove grey and peacock pearls with metal of different colours, in very minimalistic designs. Their pieces are easily worn together or separately, layered, to a day at work or a night out.
Today I am wearing the 18ct Gold Vermeil White Baroque Pearl, Pod and Chain Necklace, the 18ct Gold Vermeil White Freshwater Pearl Earrings and the 18ct Gold Vermeil White Freshwater Pearl Ring.
I chose those pieces just because I wear a lot of yellow gold at the moment. However, they exist in different metals and pearl colours to suit all tastes, and they are all available online!
