Conveniently located in the heart of Barcelona, between the Gothic district and El Born Barrio, Grand Hotel Central is the ultimate Barcelonian oasis of luxury and style.
The hotel’s opulent stone building shelters 147 spacious rooms and suites, all done up to the best standard possible, comfortable and elegant at the same time.
With its outstanding amenities, this establishment offers so much more than any other city hotel: from its unique rooftop and pool with incredible views over the city, to it’s wellbeing facilities and restaurants, it is the perfect hideaway from all the city buzz….Here you so so close yet so far from the tumult of the street.
The rooftop is by far one of the best I have ever experienced, offering breathtaking views of Barcelona: during the day, you can lie by the infinity pool, have a drink or bite at the Skybar (there is an amazing poolside menu of small bites and nibbles, the avocado cones are a must!).
When the sun goes down, the sun loungers make space for tables and chairs, where you can dine or have a drink in the most relaxed and idyllic atmosphere. There is also another restaurant on the ground floor, the City Restaurant, that offers Mediterranean cuisine. The breakfast buffet selection is exhaustive: everything you will ever dream of is available, there is even a “free from” corner!
If you are seeking some relaxation time, the Thermal and Wellness Suites offer a range of treatments, sauna and steam experiences that can be booked in advance.
Last but not least, the staff is highly skilled, available, professional and friendly like you would expect from a 5 star luxury establishment and member of The Small Luxury Hotels of The World.
Grand Hotel Central has now become one of my all time favourite city destinations, whether it is for a bite, a drink, an afternoon of pampering or a stay in the beautiful Catalan city.
